He was the prime minister of India in the 90s. What made me to list him here as a significant political figure is his most famous tactic of searching peace with Pakistan. Leading the Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP – Indian People’s party), he has tried his best to settle all the issues with patience. However, he lost the voting majority in early 2000s.
